So the news is not going your way, today Time to change and make it up Get it down and send it on it’s way. And pray No-one tries to look it up Come on people, everybody gets a free ride Step down, roll up, everybody come inside It doesn’t matter cos everybody gets a free ride 24 hours later it’s inside, the minds Of everyone who thinks like you Little footnote, it’s a pack of lies, don’t mind It must be true cos it’s online Check for life signs, what you said is there for all to see (Don’t dare call it conspiracy) It’s your truth now and no-one’s gonna tell you anything To change it

How many times can you stick to the lines you’ve written on your hand? The same old thing and the people sting back at you in this land But there are some of all the crazy, hazy folks I don’t understand Who seem to like nothing more than a reckless, headless ragtime band I don’t know your name and now we’re standing in the rain Say it once again, and maybe I’ll remember when The sun was out, the clouds had gone and all the things were right Have you ever stopped to think about the time you stopped to think about me? I didn’t think so, it’s been so long and I know you’ll never let it be Tell me a joke before we go up in smoke, I couldn’t tell you how I felt at the time So listen now as it all shuts down, there’s a mountain here to climb Take me down to where the lights are low Turn the radio on slow How do you feel now it’s done? Can you believe you’re on the run? Helplessly moving out of time inside

One Autumn day, I was there in an upstairs room I didn’t know what to be but I knew it soon This was the place where I found all the peace in my life When I had all the time Now that I’m gone from the place I can hardly breathe But the place is always in my heart so I didn’t leave When I go back in my mind, everything looks so fine When I had all the time

Jump Back 03:56
You woke me up at a quarter to three and I couldn’t believe how you sounded on the phone Almost like it was a regular night And your voice was inside but I couldn’t hear the tone Jump back in time my friend, it’s the same as it always goes Jump back and show your hand cos I’m here to save my soul Jump back in time my friend, you gotta tell me all the things you gone and done Jump back, let’s hear the plan, I’m here to reach the sun All the time on the road and I didn’t know What to expect when I fell back down to Earth It was different, the same, can’t explain But I knew later on that it couldn’t work You want it back, but you can’t have it back Can you tell me the time that you first heard the chimes You want it back, so go and get it back Did you listen to anything I said yesterday? You want it back, but you can’t have it back So you better be ready for any attack My mind is gone and I don’t want it back.

Operator 03:47
Operator, can you tell me why I’m disconnected All through the day, and all through the night I can’t explain how it feels Nothing is real inside my mind Here we go now, on an endless train I can wonder, how we got here, again It’s been too long it seems I’ve seen it in my dreams It starts in black and white and then the colour makes the scene Can’t sit down, there’s too much to do Want to get back, to what I’m s’posed to do So maybe it’s a waste of time To dream and take the best out of my mind Gotta see the light again Cos nothing, nothing’s working my friend
7.
seems just like a dream i had today all the walls around me fell away the star above me makes my head spin round so leave me here to just enjoy the sound so nice to see you in my dream just last night makes me feel better that you're still here inside i wish you wouldn't hide do you know how far the time has gone? you wouldn't recognise a thing except this song you're just hiding out, you gotta be tucked away still watching your tv what's the news? what you been up to? so many questions that i can't begin to ask can you still see me? perhaps you can free me from everything all at once crashing down on me somehow i cont see, it's not supposed to be

California 04:49
We were all just flying high this time Taking everything just as it seems Up on the fifth floor we were hanging out But I know I don’t recall We had places to play and to go Didn’t know what to expect, yeah But we were here and at least I believe that we were But I don’t recall Look down, on the strip I know you’re there I wish, you’d held on at least another year Oh well, here goes another shot Don’t tell me that’s all that you got California, could have warned ya You made a mess of me California, wish I’d called ya Cos you made a mess of me Seven hours just passed me by And my head is not my own Is it worth all this just to be free? Cos I know, I need to get home
9.
Taking away without giving a grain, it’s everything we already knew Don’t be surprised by the look in their eyes, I think they’re taking us for fools They don’t even hide how they feel deep inside, it’s the same and a shame for us all It’s all been a trick and it’s making me sick to think some of us still want the rule Don’t be led by clowns. They’ll always let you down Save, save us all, from the hand we were dealt when we were climbing the wall Look all around, you can’t think this is sound, I don’t know what to tell you at all Maybe someday this will all go away, I don’t think we can stand anymore We’ve gotta try to look fear in the eye and show them all the open door
10.
Don’t look now I swear I saw you in a different light Long ago, it wouldn’t make me even think twice Now I can’t help thinking of a situation when the world won’t turn and give into temptation But I know, yes I know, Everything is gonna be alright Counting 3,2,1 I think we’re just beginning And it’s 10,9,8 to tell you that we’re winning And I know, yes I know Everything is gonna be alright Save my place, I’m heading out to get a little air The one big problem in there isn’t any anywhere One last shot and it’s in the bag Don’t know what to make of all the time we have oh no, oh no, oh no So step right up now and take my hand I think the world is waiting just to understand oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
11.
Coming back out from the dark, Time to look all-around Save yourself before it’s all too late, so quiet I can’t hear a sound Someone said something but I couldn’t make it out again, out again ohh.. Tell me that there is much more to this than meets the eye, the eye is watching Walking around in a daze again, somebody switched off the light Help me find my way around and maybe it’ll be alright So as the screen turns black and white, the sun comes up just past midnight again Maybe now we can look again at everything all around Take some time to just rewind and shut the whole thing down So as the screen turns black and white, the sun comes up just past midnight again the sounds turned down to minus one but the colours coming back too strong again Come and tell me the things that you see and the way that you feel but don’t let me go I didn’t wait too long, to play along Is it me or does everyone think that they know what the hell has been going on Or is it just insane, to play this game I can’t think why, you’d think an eye, could be watching you always
12.
I didn't know this, but i never notice the things that make me understand this time I'm hoping nobody's joking you know i never had this plan i said it time and time again, perhaps you just weren't listening i'm right on the edge I don't know how many more times I've got to read between the lines cos I don't care anymore I don't care, you're not me, I'm ok, don't think you understand head in your hands, stay where you are, no one's joking welcome to small town, take a good look round i hope you're liking what you see and here they come now, our resident clowns just don't know what they wanna be another day I'm getting round to all the things that bring me down I'm right on the edge never mind I'll carry on pretending and depending on but i don't care anymore
